  • You must purchase at least one full or EOW vegetable share to join the Park Slope CSA.

  • Optional fruit and egg shares are also available and are delivered at the same time as your veggies.

All members must pay a $25 membership fee in addition to the vegetable share prices.

What is an Every-Other-Week Share?

The Park Slope CSA cannot guarantee which week (odd or even) EOW members will be assigned to. EOW veggie members can only select EOW fruit shares, all delivered on the same week. EOW members work 1 shift (2.5 hours) during the season. If you miss your scheduled EOW pick up you cannot come the following week.

Is Financial Assistance Available?

Members with food stamps will use $11/week for veggies and $6/week for fruit. Please contact our Share-a-Share Coordinator at 718-707-1023 for more information on a discount and payment plan that works for both you and the CSA. The CSA accepts SNAP payments.

What are the Workshift Requirements?

  • All members are required to sign up for a workshift, and work their respective shifts.

  • FULL Share CSA members make a volunteer commitment of 2 shifts (each shift is 2 hours and 15 minutes).

  • HALF (EOW) Share CSA members make a volunteer commitment of 1 shift (2 hours and 15 minutes).

  • Workshift hours run from 3:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. and from 5:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  • Members work with a Site Coordinator to help unload the truck, set up tents and tables, re-stock produce, check in members and help to clean up and put things away.

  • Distributions take place rain or shine. Remember produce comes from our farms so please dress accordingly as bins can be wet and covered in soil.

  • Workshifts are at the distribution site in the Garden of Union. You cannot cancel at the last minute. Ask a family member, nanny, friend, or a neighbor to fulfill your obligation. We also advise preparing for being in the garden by wearing proper footwear, bringing rain gear, bug spray, and outdoor clothes because you could get dirty.

  • If your availability changes after signing up for shifts, it is your responsibility to change your shift in advance with the Workshift Coordinator. If you cannot arrange for coverage of your shift, do not send someone to pick up your share.
